Sussman Education was founded in 1971 by Joe and Elaine Sussman. Their sons Ron and Steve Sussman took over the business and launched Lightswitch Learning in 2012. Sussman Education and Lightswitch Learning strive to apply a consultative approach to the needs of clients, always supplying the most competitive pricing possible.
Ron is the President of Sales and has been a leader in K-12 digital and print distribution in New York City schools for over 20 years. In 2011 he helped launch Lightswitch Learning, the national K-12 publishing organization that has recently published several best-sellers in the parent engagement arena. Ron is Board Chair of Books For Kids, an organization that promotes literacy among all children with a special emphasis on low-income and at-risk preschool-aged children. Mr. Sussman graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and currently lives in New York City.

For almost 20 years, Steve has collaborated with various educational leaders in New York City and beyond conducting market research to inform the design of supplemental programs that meet the demands of education policy, and evaluating thousands of educational solutions to bring the newest and best to schools across the country.
